The following video was been widely shared on What’s App mobile groups in response to the 3 new books written about the Rebbe’s life, teachings and legacy.
These Books Changed Me

Great way to make a beautiful point, mitoch ahavas Yosroel!!
amazing!!!!!
fantastic point!
The books being marginalized here are impressive and insightful and I have spoke with many many unzerer chassidim in our schnuna, young and old who have told me they felt closer to the Rebbe after reading these books
Some people live by spice alone….They are not the ones that zaro lchayim refer to…
Ever had plain bread? Not the best taste.
Ever had bread with spices? Pretty good.
But please don’t try eating spices by themselves.
Vedai lameivin.
haha the lever unleashes
really?!?
“mekabel es haemes mimi sheomroy”
give the bochur some slack ,he brought out the point beautifully, and i think yea pun intended which was brought out with the humor..
and besides there was no one else opening there mouths..
i admire this bochur
this bochur is obviously very intelligent and is saying something very important that we should all take to heart. The only thing is that I dont think is that he should be the one making this statement, and certainly not in such a joking way. The books being marginalized here are impressive and insightful and I have spoke with many many unzerer chassidim in our schnuna, young and old who have told me they felt closer to the Rebbe after reading these books. The message is brilliant, yes, but the messenger should have been different and a different method of… Read more »
Well said!
I hope that the spreading of this short video clip gives you great chius, in nigleh and in nistar…May the great oiros of the Rebbe’s Torah and ideology light your way in life.
There is a saying:
When there’s a will, there’s a way.
If you want to read you will read.
It just depends if you like to read or not.
What is the big deal?
And what is comical about a avid reader who can read and it just so happens to be that it’s not string subject taught in chabad schools?
What more can I say?
We need Moshiach already!!!!
Thank you Sruli
indeed….
i think comment number 28 got exactly the message that this bochur was trying to deliver
Someone has their head screwed on tightttt
Hit the point!!!
Love it!!!!!
This bocher is not intending that you should not read these books that came out now..
what he means is that everyone is making such a big deal of them. . As if till now we didn’t have this great wealth
may we be zocheh to torah chadosho miti titzeh bkorov
Sruli you’re amazing! As usual, telling it like it is with a little bit of dry humor added just to spice it up!
Yeleich mechayil el choyil and keep the nachas coming!!!

See today’s hayom yom, chof daled sivan, very powerful.
I don’t think this should have been done with any sense of comedy. The point is a beautiful one, as expressed in today’s (24 Sivan) Hayom Yom.
The real humor I find is that we actually believed a Lubavitch Bochur was able to read three, 500+ page English books!
Moshiach Now
Kol hakavod!
Give Rebbe. Pure Rebbe. No better way to give people Rebbe then thru the Rebbe’s Chassidus.
Still laughing!!!!
Of course the Rebbe’s Torah is mandatory reading. But why is it a contradiction to ALSO read these new biographies. They can inspire a person to learn even more and also motivate someone in avodas Hashem.
Rabbi Schapiro mentioned this video at the Florida Shabbaton this week. He thought it was a great point brought up by this bochur.
Sruli your the bomb
swag
This is the message which we must teach our children today!
Loved it!!
Agree 100%
Moshiach now
So true!!!
If u never opened a lekutei sickos then ya this books will help u! And if u want to learn how to walk a book on walking will help u -if u don’t know how too
🙂
that boys got swag
A CHAP! A SHTIK! A VORT!
bh
i think that the knew books written about the rebbe, by Rabbi Steinzaltz, Telushkin and Rabbi Miller, allow us to see and appreciate the seforim that we have, much more. anyone who read them knows what im talking about, and anyone who didnt could greatly benefit from reading them.
Amaaaaaazing go sruly! You’re a true Chassidisher Bochur. You make us all proud.
Lever! Lever! Lever Lever Lever fiver!
Is he “in the parsha”?
kol hakavod. the books that came out are great for mekuravim, those who didn’t get a chance to learn yet. a lubavitcher should really stick to the old fashion books – they’re allot better.
100% right
אנא נפשי כתבית יהבית
in the Rebbes Toirre you see what the Rebbe is
Love it! Absolutely amazing!!!
great humor and even better, hit it on the head message. zayer git gezogt.
Hahahahahaha
sometimes as chassidim we wait to see what inspires the ‘velt’ and then we react in the same way, running to buy a book that a ballabus would love and would teach him so much. This is upside down! the way it is supposed to be, where we, as chassidim of the rebbe, get inspired, and fall in love with the original, and then, to make it accessible to everyone ells we write books for the general public. this bochur hit the nail on the head, Yaasher Koach!
