The Phenomenon of ‘Yesh Tikva’

It’s a song with a message of hope and a tune that seems to magically wipe away feelings of despair. Singer Benny Friedman was interviewed by the Yated newspaper about the phenomenon of his latest hit "Yesh Tikvah." Full Story

It would help to have the words in English and Hebrew along with the song. I like it very much, but even though I can catch most of it, some eludes me. Please add subtitles.

Chabad power!
February 18, 2013 12:12 am

I think t’s really great when the velt feels such a positive reaction to real Chabad performers like benny and 8th day, who never try to hide their chabadness, and on the contrary, wear that badge with such pride, chevre who mamish bring a chasidishe chein to the frum world that they are as of yet mostly unfamiliar with, but when they get a taste of it, they just know that they love it. Taamu ureu ki toiv havayeh in action!
Keep it up. I just love watching it happen!

Gets in to bed every night and after saying krias shema says, “can I hear yesh tikvah?” Her older brother has a different favorite – Sholom Aleichem in the same album.
Great songs top to bottom.

Yesh Tikvah!!

My kids love the song. (I do too) They bounce to it all the time.
And it keeps them normal during carpool. (along with the rest of the CD)

I’m a ba’alas teshuva and I love this song! I’ve had to change the type of music I listen to in becoming religious and this song gives me tikvah when I go through up’s and down’s on my journey to lubavitch observance. Yesh tikvah!
