Single Filmed in Crown Heights

With the release of his upcoming album, V’ani Tefilosi, music lovers will have an opportunity to appreciate the many facets of the talented Mendy Werzberger.

Werzberger’s songs have been featured on albums by the Piamenta brothers, Yosef Chaim Shwekey and Mendy Wald, among others, and he has appeared at countless simchas and on several albums and projects including “Unity for Justice” (the Rubashkin song).

As a child growing up in Toronto, Werzberger sang on several albums, but despite his mother’s persistent urging, he had no interest in recording a solo album.

As time and life went by, music became an integral part of his life and he soon found himself composing song after song. He began working on an album several years ago, and after sitting shiva for his mother, Mendy realized it was time to fulfill his mother’s dream by finishing the album.

V’ani Tefilosi features 11 songs, most written by him, some as solo compositions and others in conjunction with singers such as Yitzy Waldner, Yitzy Schwartz, Yanky Katina and Moshe Werzberger.

The album also features the talents of Eli Lishinsky, Shai Bachar, Nir Graff, Mona Rosenblum, Eli Laufer, Yitzy Spinner, Shloime Kaufman, Yoel Dikman, Avrumi Berko, Ruli Ezrahi and composer Sholy Brach.

The upbeat and catchy song “Toda Lecha,” being released as a music video produced by Sparks Productions and a free download, is particularly meaningful to Mendy Werzberger.

“Our live are so busy and fast paced,” he explained. “We are so rushed that we take things for granted and miss out on so much of life. We all need to slow down, take the time to look around us and appreciate all that Hashem gives us on a daily basis.”

Parts of the music video were filmed on Crown Heights streets and the Lefferts Park where local Lubavitch boys are seen playing sports.

The album is in the final stages of production. It should be sold in stores by Rosh Chodesh Adar.
