Will we be able to use a different caterer?
Sad to see a staple in the crown heights wedding community missing here. Benzion Cohen is an Ish Chesed. It is not right to monopolize a wedding hall. Having one caterer control the kitchen isnt right.
Thank you to all involved ❤️❤️
How do you know he wasn’t offered ?
Even seen the trucks loading / unloading at OT (every wedding) for hours and hours? Having just 1 caterer means you eliminate all the shlepping of utensils etc.
Thank you to all involved!
Special shoutout to shneur Brook 🔥🔥
It’s not right that they only have one Caterer
You will put other out of business
Especially Meir Choen that has been in crown heights for years And given so much to the Community over the years
He should be in the package as well
mazal tov to all of the chasanim and kalas and mazal tov to all the families that will use this service and have beuatfiul weddings .. at a great price. thx to keren hachomesh for arranging tis. it will help many people and families
Yasher Koach on this amazing initiative!
Please consider adding a female photographer/videographer to the women’s side of the mechitza so that they can maintain the tznius that is most befitting for this occasion while dancing
Yes you right!!
Add female to women side
Glad to see you listened to the public and crafted a much better version than first proposed. May I add, 1- Please consider adding Bension Cohen and CO to the caterers. They have faithfully served the community for many years and we should try to include them 2- Vendors MUST understand, THIS IS NOT TZEDAKA, this is a CHOICE they made and should treat customers with respect as a high paying one. Sadly many vendors only give customer service to people with money. We all deserve to be treated with dignity. 3- Thank you for capping the upgrades. This helps… Read more »
What is the problem to add upgrades?
This is definitely a Tzadoka package. Read the end of the article
Does this mean no more dealing with hackner for chuppah ?
nothing to do
This is wonderful. Perhaps that can offer an even cheaper package as well, for those who are ok with having less of some things so that the price can be brought down. For example, having artificial flowers or 1 or 2 flowers or table which can save thousands of dollars
Open to all anash? Or just ch?
nothing is mentioned about how many guests.
also , is this going to be only 1 thier package?
Really appreciated!! It will help many families IYH huge shoutout to shneur brook🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for this excellent initiative!
Thank you to everybody who helped make this possible!
its nice that you making this package for the community.
BUT its NOT RIGHT to leave out the Cohen Catering in this package
they have been catering in this COMMUNITY for years too. It will be a nice option to have them as caterers in the package too.
Please add her wedding planning to the package.
the way this works, is they are approached and offered a certain amount.
It could be she didnt feel the price was worth it for her
I know there’s already not a ton of variety but it seems like it’ll get pretty boring if every wedding at OT has the same menu.
Honestly it’s already like that for those that choose the less expensive food option
What about KSCVK?
Will Devorah just be involved with this new venture?
Was it too difficult for Devorah?
Just wondering and concerned
Clearly says she’s the coordinator
AS the article says, Devorah is the coordinator.
Very very welcome! I do agree that there needs to be a choice in catering vendors just so there’s competition and it will make a package more viable. Also please consider adding more photographer options (for the above reasons). I’m confused about the 250 people guest count, is that all for dinner or also simchas chosson v’kallah? Many weddings one or both sides are from out of town and 250 are too many people and the tables will be empty. But even as is it’s a great package just need to make sure people will use it so it remains… Read more »
A curated, high-end set menu for 250 adults and 25 children. Includes all service staff and waiters.
Thank you for organizing this initiative. Does limit the many of us who have worked with the Kohen brothers. Always so accommodating to the simchos of my family. Please include Bension as an option. Thank you!
I agree we have been working with Meir Kohen for over 30 years !
it seems so controlled no one asked others if they even want to join. Why isn’t Naftoli Marozov or Eliyahu Picha or Shlomo Srugo on it for photography? or Yoni Lorber for Music? I’m so confused by this package and let’s not forget Catering where is Meir Choen and his brother or Bentzion Turk?
What if you want to make your wedding in razag? Or BR, can you not use the package there?
What about Razag? There should be a Razag package also!
Please add many more photographer/videographer options
