Shluchos Thank COLlive Readers

A campaign to assist Chabad Shluchos from overseas who cannot afford the airfare to join their fellow colleagues at the annual Kinus Convention has met with success.

The initiative publicized on COLlive.com has brought in funding for 10 Shluchos to attend the annual convention in New York, reported the coordinators, Shluchos Dinie Freundlich of Beijing, China, Leah Shemtov of Stamford, CT and Chanie Krinsky of Needham, MA.

“I want to share some of the emails we have been receiving after emailing 10 shluchos that the fund will be able to help them with airline tickets to the kinus,” says Mrs. Krinsky. “These letters of appreciation are to you, COLlive readers who have contributed and made this a reality!”

One Shlucha wrote: “I’m really touched by the generosity of our fellow shluchos and Anash and your work getting it all together to make it happen. This will really make a difference and will be of great help to pay for the ticket. Yasher Koach!”

Another appreciative Shlucha wrote: “I really want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, I am so touched and this is so kind! I am very much looking forward for the first time going to the Kinus after eight years of living here on Shlichus.”

A third wrote: “This is really amazing, mamesh a nes (really a miracle)! I really felt the need to come to Kinus and asked the Rebbe to please help me fly. I did not know how it was going to happen, but I felt it will somehow come into place. Thank you, thank you so much again for this great opportunity and thank you to all those involved for this beautiful achdus!”

Coordinators of the campaign said shluchos like them come in for the Kinus to gain their inspiration for the year – enabling them to return to their communities and serve them with renewed strength and joy.

“If you have not yet had the opportunity, It is not too late to take part. There are more shluchos waiting for tickets,” says Mrs. Krinsky. “Shluchos in far flung places are living a life of Mesirus Nefesh every single day and can use the chizzuk by getting together in Crown Heights for a weekend of inspiration.”
