Chaya Mushka Seminary in Montreal, established in memory of Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Schneerson OBM after her passing in 5748 (1988), will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in New York.
Alumni are being invited to celebrate the post-secondary education of the highest caliber that was provided for hundreds of young Jewish women, enabling them to contribute to the continuity, strength and growth of the Jewish people.
“Our graduates are busy raising proud Jewish families and assuming Shlichus positions throughout the world, and have opened new schools and centers from Singapore to Prague and from California to Florida,” notes Rabbi Avraham Cohen, the seminary’s director.
Located in the legendary Chabad community of Montreal, the seminary’s uniquely Chassidishe environment fosters a love of learning, a sense of individual purpose, a dedication to community, an inclination to teach and the ability to lead.
Rabbi Cohen and Rabbi Michoel Dahan, its Dean, invited its 1,300 alumni around the world to partake in “this memorable event celebrating 25 years of excellence in chinuch – al Taharas Hakodesh.”
They said it would be a good opportunity to meet old friends, catch up on everyone’s life and enjoy the company of the able and dedicated faculty which helped them fulfill their potential as mothers and community leaders.
The Melave Malka will be taking place on 24 Shevat 5774 – January 25, 2014, from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the F.R.E.E. hall in Crown Heights at 1383 President Street, Brooklyn, NY.

As a student in sem many many years ago, with Rabbi Bell as the principal, I was surprised to see his name not mentioned in the article. I certainly hope the evening will pay tribute to his years of dedication and leadership and wisdom.
Is the most amazing teacher
Go rabbi bell!!!
There is no need to point out one by one of who was the best teacher … since all the teachers are amazing!!!! i miss the days of bcm! all the teacxhers, classes and friensd! the dorm and even the snow!!!
rabbi bell built up the school
and was devoted to it heart and soul
hes the best teacher too
and a caring and understanding principle
who really understood chinuch
we all know the pillar behind our wonderful year at sem is mrs brand
she is one teacher that really cares about each student
and a real role model for us
thanks mrs brand you guided me how to be a true yid and chossid
i dotn think there is a way to know who will be there when
most will stop by for a short time c
come with friends
number one, not all of your alumni are mothers and shluchos busy raising families… will the entire program be geared to that concept? of how sem shaped who I am into a mother and shlucha today?
number 2 how will I know my fellow sem classmates will be there? if I go will I be the only one from my year? anyway to coordinate this so we can see who signs up to go? not specific names just alumna year 5772 alumna year 5768 etc.. so we can see if we have fellows there too…
How come it does not mention anything about the founder. Dr. Boyarsky was the founder. I think it is only fair if they give him some credit after all he made the school and ran it for many years.
It’s all thanks to Rabbi Dahan and his dedicated work!!!
A big yasher koach to the secretaries who put all this together!
I can’t wait for this reunion. I’ll see my friends from way back in the day who I haven’t seen in aaagges!!! Woohoo Bcms class of 5773!!!! Why didn’t I get an invitation?!! Did Linda forget my address allready!!?!!
