4 European commissioners, including the economy, law, taxes and education, Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium and representatives of over 20 European countries participated in a ceremony marking the Shloshim of Dan Uzan, who was murdered in a terrorist attack at a Synagogue in Copenhagen.
The event, held at the European synagogue, was organized by Rabbi Menachem Margolin, President of the of the European Jewish Associations (EJA) and the EJCC, of Brussels. Mr. Joel Mergui, president of the Jewish Consistoire of France, also participated in this event.
Mr. El Jabri Niddal, organizer of the circle of 1,000 people of all faiths around the synagogue in Copenhagen after the attack, received a medal in recognition for his outstanding work.
Mr. Uzan, father of the victim killed at the synagogue, was present at the ceremony, as well as the father of the girl celebrating her Bat Mitzvah in the synagogue at the time of the attack.
Rabbi Margolin demanded from the politicians in attendance to do everything in their power so that Jews really feel safe everywhere in Europe.
