The Senate voted 57-43 on impeaching former President Donald Trump of incitement of insurrection.
Former President Trump released a brief statement saying “this has been another phase of the greatest witch hunt in history.”
Former President Trump’s defense attorney Michael Van Der Veen says since taking on the impeachment case his house, family and business has been “under siege.”
The Republican Party has yet again shown its true colors. I’m saddened by and disgusted with those republicans who voted to acquit trump. The man is guilty, he is a traitor to this country.

So when sitting congresspeople call for violence against Trump supporters, crickets. When a Bernie Sanders supporter shoots a Republican congressman and wounds him, no problem. When a vice-presidential nominee bails out people who are burning down businesses, that’s just fine. But telling people to protest peacefully is “fascism.” Got it.
The events of January 6th were horrifying and heartbreaking, acquitting the man responsible for that terrorist attack is a sham.
The Nazis didn’t initially gun down their opponents, plant the swastika in front of the capitol, and immediately declare themselves the new superpower of Germany. They slowly but surely worked their way into government, using legalities, loopholes and fear to gain control. Sound familiar?

I can assure you those comments are not being made by Frum yidden but trolls working hard to push an agenda. If they were frum yidden they would care about antisemitism. They would care about violence against our community by blm.

What they did do, though, is to send their brownshirts to attack people in the streets. They shattered the windows of houses and businesses. They called for boycotts against Jews. All things that we nowadays find the Democrat party and its minions doing.

However bad Trump has been, there are democrats who have done much more to instigate the BLM attacks that have caused billions in damages to NY and much of this country over the last year. I watched a decent amount of the proceedings live. The evidence against Trump was thoroughly and clearly presented. Trump’s lawyers didn’t even defend him for the incitement itself. They tried to poke holes on the technical aspects of the trial and many GOP senators cited the same when they voted to acquit. It is telling that seven GOP senators joined the Democrats and voted to convict.
I have lost faith in the impeachment process in general. If this was not a high crime and misdemeanor, a president can get away with really anything at this point.
I recall President Trump saying: I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard today.
If people were convicted with your kind of evidence, where would the USA be today?
You may not like him, but here in the US that is not reason enough to convict him.
Besides, I think that most people in the US believe in the Constitution, which doesn’t allow for convicting someone of an impeachable offense after they have left office.

How can u compare trump to people who just slaughtered millions of people for the fun of it? Even if you don’t like everything he did, he definitely wasn’t hungry for blood.
