Is this blog for sefira only? Maybe it can continue throughout the year. Really enjoyed it.

You need to RIGHT click on the words “audio here”. When you left click it opens the file in quicktimes like you did. When you right click it will open a drop down menu. Select “save target as” from that menu.

download?

Thanks for making it available for download, but can someone help me out here- how do I do that? I clicked on the “download audio here”, and saw a webpage that started playing the audio. I found the down arrow all the way on the right, and tried “save as source” and “save as quick time movie”, but both brought up a window that asked me to buy quick time. Is there any way to download this without quick time? can it be made available do download with something else?

it would be nice to have easy access for refernce. to improve on your idea (i think) instead of with each post having the past ones in it, maybe col could just list them on the side like other regular features?

Great Job!

I became a Baal Teshuva in my 30s and did not have the opportunity to go to a yeshiva or learn Hebrew. I have long been thankful for the many wonderful Chassidim who take the time to bring Sichos, Maamorim and Parsha thoughts into English, making them accessible for people like me. You can therefore imagine my joy when I saw English sub-titles accompanying this video. Nice to see Chassidic Nigunim finally added to the list of things accessible to the masses. Great job, THANK YOU!

If you are teaching a niggun to everyone, please sing it exact.

The Niggun
April 19, 2010 3:47 am

Kol Atsmoysay is not a niggun that was sung for Shabbos davening in Nevel. It is a niggun which Reb Zalman Levin ah from Nevel heard from his grandmother, Chana Elke, which she would sing whilst sitting on the oven at home.

I wholeheartedly agree with “Memories” in comment #8! Even I remember (as a little girl) the niggunim sung by Reb Peretz Mochkin, H & L. Ceitlin, C.M. Minkowitz, B. Mochkin, L. Volovik, Y. Chitrik, S. Simanovitch, etc, etc, etc. Es poshut varment ohn dem hartz.

To Mendel: Great job, even better than last week and very educational. What a great concept.

To ColLive: Thanks for providing such chassidish entertainment. It’s a nice break from all the preachy, whiny op’eds.

Listening to him, brought back childhood memories where the “eltere chassdim” gathered around the table crying and begging for Moshiach to come.. When I closed my eyes, I could see these men gathered around the table.. today they’re all gone.. if o nly the younger generation would listen to this.. a yashar koach and keep it coming

I agree the nigun is the real geshamke part here, no question, but I think it wouldn’t be much of a vlog with no talking. And he does give the download of just nigun so he’s trying to make everyone happy. no complaints here!

I thought that you sang the niggun beautifully and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Perhaps this can become a permanent feature on collive.

Perhaps you could make the past niggun/im available along with each post so that we can practice the songs.
…appreciate your efforts…worthwhile venture…

Nice!!
