Taking place at 5 PM on Tuesday, July 12th at the Dyker Beach Golf Course in Brooklyn, the JCON Real Estate Summit is a joint project of the Jewish Community Council of Marine Park, Crown Heights Young Entrepreneurs, and the Emergency Parnassa Initiative and is designed to help young entrepreneurs gain a foothold in the real estate market.
“Real estate has long been a popular career in the Jewish community and it remains a lucrative field with substantial financial rewards,” said CHYE director Rabbi Yehoshua Werde. “Our mission has always been finding and creating opportunities that provide support to fledgling entrepreneurs and those who have already begun to experience success in business. CHYE looks forward to providing additional events that will help them along that road.”
The summit will kick off with a stand-alone session on Public Speaking addressing “How to present yourself in life and in negotiation,” with expert trainer Eliezer Blatt. Beginning at 5:30 PM will be a choice of simultaneous panel discussions. From technology, zoning, making money in today’s market, and banking; our speakers and moderators will make their presentations and answer questions. Some of our speakers include Esti Reizes-Lowenbein, DOB Commissioner Eric Ulrich, David Greenfield, Ronald Hans and Danielle Lombardo from Lockton.
The featured keynote address will be at 7:30, delivered by Avi Lebor of Kushner company, Morris Betesh from Meridian Capital, and Josef Fingerman from Signature Bank. Valued at $3.6 billion, Kushner company continues to rapidly expand their national real estate profile. Since its formation in April 1991, Meridian Capital Group has become America’s most active dealmaker and one of the nation’s leading commercial real estate finance, investment sales and retail leasing advisors. From personalized banking and credit services, to powerful cash management systems and flexible financing for businesses, Signature Bank stands alone in its ability to offer the service and responsiveness one would expect to find at a small bank–while featuring the reach, experience, knowledge, and capabilities of a big bank.
Other well known figures in the real estate world who will be available to participants for speed mentoring and networking during a two-hour buffet dinner will be David Junik from Pinnacle Realty, Emmanuel Klein from Peek Properties, Akiva Kurland from Yellow Jacket Venture, Shimon Eisikowicz from Cross River, Chaim Shapiro who will mentor on LinkedIn, and Steven Vegh from Westwood.
Shea Rubenstein, executive director of the Jewish Community Council of Marine Park, said that this fifth annual real estate summit will provide participants with unprecedented opportunities.
“The JCC is proud to sponsor this event, helping the next generation learn the trade from the best of the best, the ideal form of job growth,” said Rubenstein.
“Helping navigate the often confusing maze of the real industry can be a daunting task, one that can often seem overwhelming to beginners,” added Mushky Mendelson, assistant executive director of the JCCMP.
“Having a forum where young entrepreneurs can get advice from established industry leaders, network and have their questions answered is invaluable and we anticipate that this event will make a real difference in people’s ability to earn a parnasa,” said Mendelson.
