to us and to the many many individuals who attended his talks at our Chabad House for Shabbatons and for a highly memorable Shavuos about 3 years ago. That Shavuos, when we had the pleasure of hosting Rabbi Schochet and his Rebbetzin, was a Gan Eden of a yom tov and we simply didn’t want the Schochets to leave. As shuchim and chassidim, every moment spent in their company was a learning experience for us that continues to guide us even now. We wish both Rabbi and Rebbetzin Schochet gezunt and arichus yomim and we will continue to daven for… Read more »

Our entire Kehillah is davening for a Refuah Shilaimah for this very special Chosid and dear friend of our community. Rabbi Immanuel Schochet has inspired hundreds in the Conejo Valley who would turn out for the many lectures, Shabbatons and seminars he led for us over the years. He has been a guide and mashpia for so many of us Shluchim and Shluchos. Let us each ask our congregations to say a Kapital Ayin Ches this Thursday for Yakov Imanuel ben Sarah Sasha for Arichos Yomim and a miraculous recovery.

I used to be a member of Edinburgh and then made Aliyah to the Old City, I must admit it is very holy here and Israel is the place to be, but, from where Rabbi Schochet sits and presides as Rov over his kehila, I know that he has made his shul a mikdash m’at, its own Beis HaMikdash as the Rebbe wanted… so I wishing him long long healthy life, everything should go easy in health and may Edinburgh join me one day in Yerushalayim with Moshiach.

I heard him a few years ago at JLI. I have since heard his son these last few years. It is inspiring to see a ‘like father like son’ team like that. I am looking forward to seeing them together by next years retreat. That would be amazing!

thank you for posting this

I was wondering how he was doing. I am encouraged by this article. He is a remarkable man and deserves Hashem’s constant protection.

We have been davening for him and we will continue to do so. He inspired us along with so many more. May he be blessed with a full recovery and a long life.

BH. stands for – from right to left – HAPPY BIRTHDAY, and from left to right – BE HEALTHY. The word “Brocho” begins with “B” and ends with “H”, telling us, that if you want a brocho, keep on saying and writing “BH” – Boruch Hashem.
