A memory for the very fine details
It hurts😥 Our class was blessed to be the students of Rabbi Tenenbaum in Oholei Torah Troy Avenue for at least two years. His knowledge in Gemara and Shas was genius level. A few times when I asked him questions he remembered the exact reference page in Shas. Every student who wanted to learn was able to enjoy Rabbi Tenenbaum. He was a friendly teacher and easily approachable. A very proud Chossid of the Rebbe. Rabbi Tenenbaum was humble and didn’t boast his amazing knowledge. A hidden treasure. Many who knew him have no idea who he really was. חסיד,… Read more »

And at other times, we would test his knowledge on purpose, he would say “ok now, let’s get back to learning”. His memory, clarity. and powerful voice has helped me many times through… Read more »

I was in Rabbi Tenenbaums class years ago. I am now a father of two children yet he always said a genuine “Hello how are you?” My parents are Balei Teshuva without too many connections in the community. Rabbi Tenenbaum made a point of always speaking to my father and asking how I was and how were Shidduchim. He treated us with RESPECT. A small thing that made us all feel better. I will miss You Rabbi Tenenbaum. You were a real Chassid, Yirei Shamayim and Lamdan. His family should find comfort in knowing how much of an impact he… Read more »
