R’ Shaul Ber Zislin (1881–1964) was one of the elder Chassidim in Eretz Yisroel. Born in Krāslava, Latvia, he studied at Tomchei Temimim in Lubavitch. later he served as a Mashpia in the Schedrin Yeshiva and as a rabbi in several Belarusian communities before immigrating to Israel in 1934. In Tel Aviv, he played a central role in Jewish life, serving as a rabbi in Mea Shearim, leading the Beit Shlomo Shul, and contributing to the city’s mikveh system. As chairman of Agudas Chassidei Chabad in Israel, Rabbi Zislin was instrumental in strengthening Chabad’s presence and institutions in Eretz Yisroel.
