The Postville Jewish community came together this Lag B’Omer for a memorable and uplifting celebration marked by unity, music, and fun for all ages.
On Thursday evening, a community bonfire was held, generously hosted by the Malinas family. The event drew a large crowd of local families and children, who gathered to sing, dance, and celebrate the special day. The bonfire was lit by longtime community member Hershel Rubashkin.
The following morning, the joyous spirit continued with a lively Lag B’Omer parade. Students from the local school marched proudly from the school grounds to the Postville fairgrounds, accompanied by cheerful music and colorful banners. The parade was led by a talented marching band under the direction of Itche Bass.
Upon arriving at the fairgrounds, students were treated to a fun-filled fair complete with pizza, popcorn, cotton candy, and drinks.
