As the Crown Heights community readies for the holiday of Pesach, donor Yossi Popack and his wife Batsheva are donating the traditional ‘Maos Chitim’ (help for the needy for Pesach).
Local families will be receiving 4 pounds of Shmura Matzah free, baked in the Crown Heights Matzah Bakery under the supervision of CHK.
The distribution will take place this Sunday, April 1, 2012, at 712 Crown Street building (corner Schenectady), at 7:00 pm.
COLlive was told that only families who reside in Crown Heights are eligible for the Pesach gift. A photo ID will be required to verify.
There is a limited amount of matzah, so therefore priority will be given to those that have not received Matzah elsewhere.
CAN SOMEONE POST INFO IF THEY ARE GIVING OUT CHICKEN OR MEAT AGAIN?

Is it only for people who have no jobs ?
mrs. scheiner gave out today also. Maybe if she gets more money she will give out again

Today Mrs. Scheiner gave out her 2nd shipment. People were treated to hot danishes as they waited for their cases of chickens and schnitzel. Why are there so many separate food distributions instead of one. Mrs. S works so hard to feed this community and if she had even more money she probably would give matzah also! Please stop partisan politics and have all the organizations gather together to give out food. The poor may be poor but we don’t like garbage- if you wouldn’t use it- don’t give it to us. Mrs. S gives out only the nicest high… Read more »
