Yeshivas Kayitz of Pittsburgh has opened registration for the summer of 5772, their second summer season.
Heading this year’s staff is Henoch Rosenfeld of Pittsburgh as Head Counselor and Dovid Kotlarsky of Crown Heights as learning director, Rabbi Yisroel Rosenfeld, the camp’s director, told COLlive.
The camp’s counselors will be this year’s Talmidim Shluchim to the Mesivta in Pittsburgh, who already have relationships with the bochurim, and will be “instrumental in our goals for personal attention to each bochur,” he said.
In the summer of 5771 – 2011 Yeshiva Schools of Pittsburgh, led by Rabbi Yisroel Rosenfeld, established the program, geared for high school boys, grades 9 – 11 who want to be in a Yeshiva environment, combined with sports, adventure and recreation.
This year’s program will be expanded to six weeks and will accommodate more Bochurim.
Situated in White Oak, PA, the boys have fine accommodations, a Shul, Mikvah and access to the high quality outdoors and the entertainment of the Laurel Highlands area.
The program boasts hands-on experiential learning, textual learning in Nigleh and Chassidus, and Farbrengens, as well as activities such as swimming, sports and exciting trips – with priority given to the great outdoors.
Last year, the Bochurim went on site for lessons in Shechita, visited the Ohel, the Rebbe’s house and the Rebbe’s library. The Ruchniyus experience was matched with whitewater rafting and numerous other trips.
This year camp will begin immediately following school on Thursday June, 21st 2012 – Rosh Chodesh Tammuz 5772 and will run for 6 weeks until Thursday August, 2nd 2012 – Av 14th 5772.
Yeshivas Kayitz of Pittsburgh has been approved by the One Happy Camper foundation as a camp eligible for new camper grants. Therefore any campers for whom this will be their first overnight camping experience are eligible for a $1,000.00 grant towards their tuition.
The Yeshivas Kayitz will be run by a great group of dedicated staff, who will provide a wonderful chasidish experience for each and every bochur.
The camp is under the guidance of our Mesivta Hanhalo led by Rabbi Yossi Rosenblum, and is directed by Rabbi Chonie Friedman. Please call Rabbi Friedman at 913-710-1771 or email at [email protected] for all information about camp.
