Members of Los Angeles Shmira Patrol pose for a photo with LAPD on Sunday, moments before the city’s largest Chanukah Street Fair kicked off on Pico Blvd.
On Sunday, five city blocks along Pico Boulevard were closed off for the event, which took place at Schneerson Square, in front of the world’s largest, iconic replica of “770” to accommodate thousands of men, women, and children who united to celebrate the miracle of Chanukah.
Members of Los Angeles Shmira Patrol, an all volunteer community safety organization, together with partner agencies KD Security Group and Kadima Security Services, were on hand to ensure the safety of the thousands in attendance.
Joined by Los Angeles Councilmember Paul Koretz and the Director of Public Safety for the 5th council district, Gregory Martayan for the grand lighting of the Menorah it was truly a beautiful event for all to see.
