For over thirty years I’ve been involved in overseeing the Kashrus of Chabad Mikvahs across Eretz Yisroel. In this time, I’ve seen the tremendous need for more Chabad Mikvahs, and the absolute necessity for renovations in most of the existing Mikvahs, both to correct Halachic issues, and to enhance its poor appearance.
For this purpose, we have established “The Center of Chabad Mikvahs” that helps in funding and planning the building and remodeling of Mikvahs in every city, town or settlement where Anash or Shluchim reside. Along with constant supervision on all Chabad Mikvahs, ensuring that they all maintain the highest standard of Kashrus.
In the past years, we have:
- Performed Kashrus and Hidur inspection for over 150 Mikvahs
- Granting of supervision certificates for 108 Mikvaos
- Gave large grants for the construction and renovation of 75 Mikvaos
- Performed rainwater replacement for 120 Mikvaos
Currently in execution:
- 33 Mikvaos under construction
- 20 Mikvaos under planning and design
- 7 Mikvaos under renovation
Our campaign in 5783 has made it possible for us to expand our activities, which has brought a major upgrade to the Quantity and quality of Chabad Mikvaos in Eretz Yisroel.
The cost of all this is astronomical, yet limited.
The Zechus of taking part in all this is infinite and eternal!
