The article says ” We are looking for Bochurim who want to be Chassidim of the Rebbe and act accordingly. Mivakshei Hashem who truly desire to grow in the journey of Chassidus, Yiddishkeit and life. Bochurim who will adhere to all Halachic norms and Chassidishe standards ” Shouldn’t the Yeshiva’s goal be to make the Bochurim who come fit this criteria as opposed to looking for Bochurim who already for it? What you’re describing fits a Yeshiva Ketana mission. Boys leaving 8th Grade go Mestivta. By the time they graduate Mesivta for Zal, they should have self-standing goals, convictions and commitments.

Naive perspective

“Should have” doesn’t mean all do. So many bochrim exit mesivta with good yedia in inuonei niglah & chassidus but lav davka with a strong ability for self-initiated learning. Having a zal with hanhola whose expressed kavona is to help their bochrim develop into self learners is a good thing. We have to stop this naive rhetoric of standards which the average bochur doesn’t necessarily have.

Amazing!
