The Seymour J. Abrams Cheder Lubavitch Preschool held their Parent Interactive Day on January 1.
This year’s theme was all about Shabbos. The children and parents decorated Shabbos aprons, made besomim flowers, created Challah trays, made Shabbos cereal bracelets, poured and measured purple colored water with bechers, bottles and droppers in the water table, played with candles and kiddush cups in the sand table and used Shabbos cookie cutters to create fun playdough designs.
Rena Osmunson, a new parent commented, “I was really impressed by how much thought and creativity was put into this day. We’re so happy to be part of this amazing school and community.”
“There was such great energy in every classroom. The children, parents and teachers were engaged in exciting activities with big smiles on their faces!” said Lakey Silber, Preschool Director.
Rivka Hershkovich, a parent of a toddler, expressed her thoughts, “The atmosphere was warm and inviting. It was nice to mingle with the parents of my son’s classmates. The activities were well thought out and creative for both parents and children. The teachers filled the rooms with warm, care, and joy.”
What amazing work Morah Lakey Silber is doing! She never ceases to amaze the whole community with her creativity and dedication to our children. Great job! Chicago is the luckiest city to have you as their Preschool director.
