Stuart Balberg, a Lubavitcher resident of Crown Heights and past candidate for New York State Representative District 43, is featured Wednesday in the print and online editions of the Wall Street Journal.
Balberg, one of the few advocates for Conservative politicians in Brooklyn, is seen making calls on behalf of Bob Turner, the Republican candidate who won New York’s 9th Congressional District.
Turner, a retired cable television executive, defeated Democratic state Assemblyman David Weprin, an Orthodox Jew, in a nationally watched special election.
The Journal used the Getty Images photo along with an op-ed title “Why Obama Is Losing the Jewish Vote.”
Dan Senor, co-author with Saul Singer of “Start-up Nation: The Story of Israel’s Economic Miracle,” argues that Turner’s win on Tuesday was “the first electoral outcome directly affected by President Obama’s Israel policy.”
“Overall he has built the most consistently one-sided diplomatic record against Israel of any American president in generations. His problem with Jewish voters is one of substance, not messaging,” Senor wrote.
And let’s not forget to congratulate Mr. Balberg on winning his election yesterday for Republican State Committee as well as the 43rd Assembly District’s Republican District Leader.
Yes, he ran uncontested, but a victory non the less.

Shmaya Balberg is a hard-working and dedicated member of Crown Heights. Obama, while electioneering in Iowa, criticized employers who abused workers before Rubashkin had his trial! He loves be devious in order to get votes. Nathan Lewin, Rubashkin’s lawyer spoke about this news item publicly. Such is the way of power and money.
