The Jean Schottenstein Oryah Insitute in Jerusalem’s pioneer year took off with great success, with students enjoying four months of active learning both in and out of the classroom.
“This is thanks to our phenomenal students and parents, dedicated staff, proud supporters, and of course, brachos from the Rebbe,” the director said.
Following up on this success, the directors have announced that they will be opening registration for next year, for an even larger program. The team of devoted staff helps innovate and implement new ideas to keep the program constantly growing.
Oryah Seminary was founded this year, offering an immersive program that combines classroom learning with real-life experiences to deliver a world-class education.
It is led by Ruchnius Director Rabbi Binyamin Preminger, Gashmius Director Mrs. Nechama Pevzner, and Creative Directors Leah Goldschmidt and Itty Andrusier.
“Despite the many limitations of this challenging period and the fact that this is our first year, B”H the year has developed beyond our expectations,” said Rabbi Binyamin Preminger. “This can be seen in the great atmosphere felt in our seminary: our students are happy, learning intensely, and on a path of spiritual growth and self-discovery.
“Nonetheless, our work is far from being over. G-d willing we have a bright future ahead of us and we have ambitious plans for the years to come. The Rebbe says that in Ruchnius we should apply Chazal’s statement ‘He who has one hundred, wants two hundred,’ so we are thrilled to be planning for next year and we are confident in Hashem that it will be exciting and enriching, a year our future students will never forget,” Rabbi Preminger said.
“The girls are great, such grateful people, real emesdike girls who want to grow in their avodas Hashem,” said Dorm mother, Nechama Pewzner. “It gives me such nachas watching everyone advance in their own way, and it is so nice to be part of this team,” she says.
“It is also really impressive to see Itty and Leah realize their dream, setting an example and helping each student bring out her potential and build her own individualized dream,” said Pewzner.
MHC, Chaya Botnick said, “working at Oryah is such an enriching experience! It is so rewarding to see how the students have progressed and continue to grow in their self-development as they strive to meet their personal goals. I look forward to another engaging year at Oryah.”
Oryah Seminary is excited to open our program to more girls this coming year. Our applications can be found at http://oryah.org/take-action and will be available until Dec. 31st, Tes Zayin Teves.
The process begins by completing the application form online and will be followed by an interview, iyh in person, the week of Chof Beis Shevat.

I am so grateful to be part of this unique and inspiring program, and so delighted to see it continuing to grow! The girls here are the cream of the crop!
