A resident of Brooklyn is grateful to the NYC Sanitation Dept. on Monday, for helping him find his lost pair of Tefillin.
The UJO of Williamsburg tweeted thanks to the NYC Sanitation Dept for their assistance in intercepting and holding a garbage truck this morning after it was discovered that a pair of Tefillin had been discarded this morning.
“Thank you to @NYCSanitation, Brooklyn North Chief Scotti for intercepting and isolating the garbage truck where a tefilin discarded immediately when we called him this morning. Thank you Yitzchok Neuwirth and the entire search team,” the organization tweeted.
“Burech Hashem the tefilin was found,” they wrote.
The search team was photographed proudly holding up the Rabbeinu Tam set of Tefillin with the initials Ches Alef Hey, and dancing joyfully when they were found.
