The upcoming “Chicken Soup for the Shliach on Call” conference gives Shluchim tools and inspiration for navigating hospital visitations, illness, and grief. Hosted by Chabad on Call, the conference will run from 9 am, to 2 pm in the Jewish Children’s Museum, this July 1st, 2 Tammuz.
Chock-full of essential know-how, practical guidance, and encouragement, the half-day conference will bring Shluchim together for inspiration, networking, and a chance to view new cutting-edge resources.
After opening words from Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, executive director of Merkos 302, Rabbi Rachmiel Rothberger, BCC, the Jewish Community Liaison at the Palliative Care Institute of Calvary Hospital and a seasoned expert in the sensitivities and halachic nuances of end-of-life care, will share practical tips and guidance relevant to preparing loved ones and medical staff for this deeply emotional and spiritual time.
Prominent Shluchim in the field will share critical experiences on establishing relationships with medical staff, maintaining essential connections, and creating practical Bikur Cholim rooms and suites in a panel.
Renowned speaker and author Rabbi Shais Taub will share his approach to self-care rooted in the wisdom of Chassidus. His session will give practical direction for infusing energy and Simcha into your daily life.
The conference is tailored for Shluchim already in the field of hospital visitation and chaplaincy, as well as those who might be interested in entering the field. Programming will also accommodate Kollel yungerliet seeking more information in this crucial area.
