Oholei Torah commemorated Hei Teves this year with a vibrant and meaningful program centered on the theme of the Twelve Pesukim marking fifty years since Shnas HaChinuch. The day was designed to bring the Rebbe’s vision to life through hands-on learning, creativity, and a deepened appreciation for seforim.
At the heart of the celebration was a school wide expo prepared by sixth and seventh grade talmidim. Each class focused on one of the Twelve Pesukim, creating interactive and educational exhibits that were visited by talmidim from across the Yeshiva. The expo transformed the room into a living experience of the Pesukim, allowing younger and older talmidim alike to engage with the meaning and relevance of each possuk. Special thanks are extended to Rabbi Eli Simpson and Rabbi Yoni Lewkowicz for overseeing the expo.
In conjunction with the exhibition, the fair hosted a Twelve Pesukim seforim sale featuring carefully selected seforim connected to each possuk. Examples included Chumashim for Torah Tziva, a Haggadah for Kol Yisrael, Tanya for Ki Karov, and so on. Talmidim preordered their seforim in advance and picked them up directly from the corresponding expo stands. Additional seforim were available for purchase on site for those who did not preorder. Each Talmid also received a siddur as a meaningful gift.
Adding to the excitement was a special auction tied to the Twelve Pesukim theme. Talmidim purchased raffle tickets for a range of beautiful prizes, with proceeds benefiting the Oholei Torah library. Students were encouraged to use their tzedakah for this purpose, continuing the Rebbe’s call for expanding and strengthening Torah libraries.
A highlight of the day was a remarkable Tanya exhibition curated by Rabbi Shmuel Butler. The display featured a vast collection of Tanyas from around the world, each accompanied by detailed explanations describing its origin and unique story. The exhibition also included Kisvei Yad, offering talmidim an inspiring experience.
The Yeshiva extends heartfelt appreciation to Rabbi Mendel Levin for coordinating the event and to Schneur Krinsky for assisting with the many details that brought the beautiful program together.
