Community Affairs of the 71st Precinct of the New York City Police Department reports:
08-15-2012 at 9 AM
There was a cell phone larceny on Brooklyn and Maple in which a cell phone was snatched from victims hand by a perpetrator on a bike. After a brief canvass a positive ID was made and the perp was arrested.
08-16-2012 at 11:15 PM
Three Perps surrounded victim at Montgomery and Utica. They then forcible removed her cell phone. A canvass was immediately conducted and all three perps were positively ID at E92 and East New York Ave.
Firearm Arrest

A perp was arrested in front of 1106 President Street for a loaded handgun and marijuana possession.

A perp was arrested in the rear of 1663 Carroll Street for possession of a loaded firearm and resisting arrest.

Gun shots were fired on Nostrand Ave at approximately 5 PM (No one was injured). The perp was ID by the 71Precinct Detective Unit and was brought into custody Saturday afternoon.
Burglary Arrest
Wednesday 08/15/2012
At approximately 11:00 PM, a member of the Civilian Observation Patrol noticed an individual walking down Kingston Ave. acting suspicious. As he followed the individual he noticed him enter an apartment. He immediately called 911. When NYPD arrived the individual was placed under arrest and charged with burglary. The perp has confessed to nine other burglaries. Excellent work by COP.

How old were the people with guns? Where did they get the guns from? The police need to find out where these people got guns and bullets from.

The guy tried running but the Shmira guys got him right in front of that new mikvah and many random people came to help…

Limerick Nelson, the notorious car burglar-vandal, was arrested, incarcerated (Rikers Isl. I believe) and released about 15-20 times…causing pain, frustration and financial loss to many ‘Yidden.’
Imagine: Descending steps of home, luggage in hand…wife and children…leaving early to avoid the rush hour…smashed windows…travel to glass shop…wait one hour (or more) to be served…welcome rush hour and more expenses.
PERHAPS THIS GOVT. SHOULD PUT A LITTLE LOVE IN THEIR HEARTS FOR THE PUBLIC.

and the same precinct is repsonsible or givingout tickes today even though alternate side parking was suspended and 311 confirmed that. the officer giving out tickets from the 71 precinct said “i know what 311 says, but street cleaning is in effect”! Calling the precinct didn’t result in anything, except a rude “well just fight it” was their response.
