Crown Heights Shmira and the NYPD responded to multiple incidents this week, resulting in six arrests.
Violent Fight Between 2 Homeless Men
Two homeless men were arrested Monday morning at approximately 8:00 AM after a violent fight near Kingston Ave and Eastern Parkway. One man threw bleach and a brick at the other, who retaliated by hurling a shopping cart and pulling out a knife.
Generator Theft
A construction worker was arrested Monday on Kingston Ave for stealing a generator. The stolen equipment was recovered.
Motorcycle Theft
A motorcycle stolen late Monday night from Rutland Road and Kingston Ave was successfully recovered through joint efforts by the NYPD and Shmira.
Road Rage Incident
An antisemitic road rage incident escalated to physical violence Wednesday near Empire Blvd and Brooklyn Ave. No arrests were made as the victim left before police arrived.
Crowbar Attack
A victim was attacked with a crowbar and struck in the head Thursday at approximately 3:00 PM near Crown St and Schenectady Ave. Crown Heights Shmira and the NYPD are investigating.
Shoplifting Arrest
A repeat shoplifter was arrested Thursday afternoon after stealing from a local supermarket.
Knife Threat
A woman brandished a knife and threatened to stab someone Thursday at approximately 7:30 PM near Albany Ave and Crown St. She was arrested after an investigation.
Package Theft and Assault
A known thief was arrested near Eastern Parkway and Troy Ave on Thursday at approximately 8:15 PM for stealing packages and assaulting a victim with a weapon.
Road Rage Incident
At approximately 12:30 PM on Friday, Crown Heights Shmira responded to a road rage incident near Empire Blvd and Albany Ave. The situation was successfully de-escalated without further incident.

This is the repeat offender that lives in 919 Eastern Parkway, which is a very dangerous building full of gangs and violent criminals.
919 Eastern Pkwy has been a nuisance for the past ten years. The owner used to rent to Jews in the early 2000’s but stopped about ten years ago & now only rents to criminals VIA city funded Homeless assistance programs.
935 EP which is a condo building full of Jews & Chovovei Torah yeshiva both on the block have been victimized numerous times yearly by the criminals living next door at 919 Eastern Pkwy.
Something has to be done, why are convicted felons from other parts of NYC moving into 919 Eastern Pkwy?? They are traumatizing the block.
Who is the Landlord?
We would like to call & put pressure on him.
