For the most stimulating speakers, most relevant topics of discussion, exciting musical entertainment, camaraderie and friendship, women from across the US, Canada and beyond will be heading out for an extraordinary, one-of-a-kind, weekend event, hosted by N’shei Chabad – Lubavitch Women’s Organization of Pittsburgh, PA.
The 3-day weekend, which will offer inspiration alongside gourmet cuisine, relaxation and ambience, will take place at the newly renovated Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Pittsburgh-Greentree, PA.
“After months of anticipation, the plans are set for a phenomenal weekend, for Jewish women of all backgrounds and affiliations, a true delight for mind, body and soul,” says Mrs. Rivie Feldman, who has been organizing the conventions for over 28 years.
The Lubavitcher Rebbe, who initiated these conventions in 1962, realized the need for these gatherings for Jewish women.
The Rebbe expressed his hope that the women who were inspired by the conventions bring home the inspiration to their respective families and communities. This ripple effect would then reverberate around the globe. It is remarkable that 53 years later, these conventions continue to fulfill the needs and interests of Jewish women today.
The theme of this year’s convention, “Step into the Light” – ‘Arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of Hashem shines upon you’ (Yeshayahu 60:1), is meant to uplift and bring joy to all aspects of the event.
Rabbi Yosef Yitzchok Jacobson, Scholar in Residence, Rabbi Manis Friedman, Guest Speaker and Mrs. Rivki Hazan (Milan, Italy) – Keynote Address, are some of the notable presenters on the program this year.
Highlights of the upcoming event include: fascinating workshops on topics ranging from Chassidus and Kabballah, education and child rearing, mysticism and Mikvah to women’s health and personal relationships; personal stories of inspiration; a joyous Chassidic Farbrengen; a gala Melave Malka; a Grand Sunday Banquet at noon; and joyous music and dance.
“This convention will have something for everyone,” says Feldman. “It is truly the call of the hour.”
For those who are unable to attend the entire event, there are options to join the convention for one or more segments: Shabbos only, the Gala Melave Malka, the Sunday Workshops and the Grand Sunday Banquet at noon.
Special discounts are available for Shluchos, who are encouraged to invite women from their communities. Babysitting for infants is available. All details may be found at www.ChabadWomensConvention.org.
Registration is now open on the web-site. Please register by November 25, 2014, to get the Early Bird Special. Raffles may be purchased on-line for a 1 in 25 chance to win a complete convention package.

I love this convention! it’s always an inspiring weekend permeated with the message of Geula and Moshiach.
Stop criticizing others that for sure the Rebbe didn’t want.
see you there!
Step into the Light means Step into the Geula.
I think they got it covered.
Is this a Chabad Rebbe event? On reading over the event workshops a question came to me. The Rebbe said all mivtzoim and peulahs should be injected with the thrust that we must do all we can to bring Moshiach and the geulah, that learning about it will put us in the mood – and that “our generation is the last of golus and the first of geulah”. I don’t see any mention of the Rebbe’s MAIN mesage for our times. No doubt it’s going to be a great event, as usual. However, please can you let it be known… Read more »
