It’s getting hot out here. New York City wants to help people cool down. Cooling centers will be open Monday and Tuesday in all five boroughs to help people avoid the high temperatures.
Exposure to extreme temperatures can lead to heat illness, especially among vulnerable populations like senior citizens and people with chronic medical conditions.
CBS 2 HD Meteorologist John Elliott is calling for a few days of sizzlin’ August heat across the tri-state area, with temperatures in the low 90s on Monday and Tuesday on tap in New York City.
in melbourne australia, there is heatwaves of 45 degrees celcius which is 110 + farenheight….
this is for like 4/5 days straight in the summer….
between NY and Miami is the humidity which makes it feel well over the 100s. Also, where people aren’t used to it, it is much worse for them. Come visit us northerners in the winter when it is below 0.
Come to miami for a few days, you’ll get used to the heat… didnt hear of anyone dying due to miami heat 😉
