A new project was announced at the Bar Mitzvah celebration of a Shliach’s son last week.
Mrs. Debbie Barber, a resident of Seattle, Washington, and President of The Barber Foundation announced last week a new grant for Jewish men who want to put Tefillin every day, but can’t afford to purchase their own set.
Additionally, she announced eligibility for Shuls/Chabad houses to receive a pair of Tefillin to be placed at a station in order to enable visitors to fulfill the Mitzvah.
The grant and the new project was announced last week by the Bar Mitzvah celebration of Mendy Haddad, the son of Rabbi Shneur Zalmen Haddad, Shliach in Rockland, and foundation director. The initiative is sponsored in honor of the Bar Mitzvah, and the 2nd Yartzait of Fred Barber.
“After we gave almost 100 grants for Tefillin, we are happy to continue the grants for the upcoming year,” says Mrs. Debbie Barber, the Foundation’s Founder and President.
Shluchim who wants to apply for this grant, (for the Shul or for members in the community, are welcome to apply at:
