Rabbi Leibel Kesselman and his wife Musie (nee Posner), and their children Chana and Mendel, are moving to Greenville, South Carolina on Shlichus of the Rebbe to share the warmth of Yiddishkeit with the region.
Central to the 8-county region of northwestern South Carolina, known as “The Upstate,” Greenville is part of the fastest growing region in the state and is located near the commerce-rich I-85 corridor in the northwest corner of the state.
Given its strategic position between Atlanta, Georgia and Charlotte, North Carolina, future development and growth prospects for the Jewish community are bright, Rabbi Kesselman said.
Approximately 3,000 Jews live in The Upstate.
The Kesselmans were appointed by Head Shliach of the Carolinas Rabbi Yossi Groner. They thanked Rabbi Hesh Epstein, Director of Chabad in Columbia, SC, and Rabbi Adam and Chani Goodfriend for their efforts in ensuring the success of this endeavor.
