An exciting new and Reggio-inspired curriculum series has been developed and published in time for the upcoming school year for Jewish preschool educators and directors.
The DiscoverEd Curriculum Series was developed and written by Chanie Wilschanski M.S. Ed to provide an inspiring, creative, and incredibly practical vision for teachers who are shaping and guiding their young students during their most formative years.
The series is divided into 10 units, covering Yomim Tovim, seasons and other themes. Providing progressive ideas and activities for each learning center, covering the developmental cognitive stages of children aged two, three and four.
Wilschanski, an early educational consultant who lives in Crown Heights, is the founder of DiscoverEd Consulting, a new preschool educational resource, offering workshops in classroom management and progressive education.
Working to empower teachers, DiscoverEd offers 17 workshop topics for SEITs, directors and other service providers within the preschool education field, covering classroom setup to transitions, documentation and early literacy.
Workshop topics are custom tailored to each school’s specific needs to cater to the school philosophy, teachers, and parent body.
In addition, the series highlights four additional features to guide educators as a learning reference:
Skill development: Many activities have a brief description of what developmental skill that activity builds.
Newsletter Entry: Throughout each Unit there are professionally written Newsletter Entries depicting the process of the activities that educators can use in their publications.
Bulletin Board: Step-by-step instructions are given on how to create an aesthetically pleasing and informative bulletin board corresponding with what the children are learning.
Parent Partnership: Ideas and inspirations are provided on how to involve parents in the learning process, thereby cultivating the home-school connection.
Preschool educators and Directors are invited to preview and order the series, check out workshop webinars and view pictures of ideas and inspirations at DiscoverEdConsulting.com.
Chanie has put her passion and talent towards the best cause
Education! Thank you!
Chanie is just fantastic and brilliant
This Reggio inspired curriculum is exactly that – close to 80 percent of the activities are with household items, natural materials or recycle items and all other basic supplies.

now is there such a thing as reggio on a budget?
So many of these activities require so many special materials.. I work in a chabad school with zero budget. Gluesticks are a luxury. We function on recycled paper and markers and old donated toys. We have to be extra creative . I’d love to see a preschool curriculum that takes into consideration that unlimited laminating isnt an option.
Please email [email protected] to order the unit.
I dont see an option to order online. Can there be an option of ordering online/ shipping, etc.
Thanks
Nice video on art! Hope local preschool teachers watch and implement in classrooms!
