Mrs. Miriam Labkowsky, a longtime teacher in Los Angeles, passed away Monday night, 29 Kislev, 5781.
She was 59.
Mrs. Labkowsky was a longtime preschool teacher known as “Morah Mira,” and was beloved by her many students.
She is survived by her children, Aidy Chazan – Los Angeles, CA, Nochum Labkowsky – Los Angeles, CA, Eliezer Labkowsky – Los Angeles, CA, Leah Kesselman, Mushky Rosenfeld – Florida, Zalman Labkowsky – Crown Heights and Sender Labkowsky – Crown Heights.
She is also survived by her siblings, Mrs. Sara Gurewitz – Lyons, France, Rabbi Fitche Dubrawsky – Curitiba, Brazil, Rabbi Mendel Dubrawsky – Dallas, TX, and Mrs. Chana Katzman – Staten Island, NY.
She was predeceased by her husband Rabbi Menachem Mendel Labkowsky in 2012. She was also predeceased by her siblings Mrs. Zlata Geisinsky in 2010 and Rabbi Lipa Dubrawsky in 2013.
The Levaya will take place today, Tuesday, in Los Angeles, at 3:30 PM at Cong. Levi Yitzchak, 356 North LaBrea and then passing by her preschool Zlata’s Kids, 9051 W Pico Blvd at 4 PM on the way to LA airport.
The levaya will continue in New York, tomorrow, Wednesday, passing by 770 at 12:30 PM and burial at Montefiore Cemetery in Queens at 1:30 PM.
The family is sitting Shiva at 433 Crown Street between Kingston and Brooklyn
Shiva tonight, Wednesday, until 10pm
And tomorrow, Thursday 10am-2pm
The Labkowskys will be going back to LA tomorrow.
