Mrs. Matilda Chaya Kurkus, a preschool teacher and mother in the Lubavitch community in Montreal, passed away Friday, 21 Adar 1, 5771.
She was 47 and suffered from ‘yene machla.’
Residents of the large city in the Canada’s Quebec province remember her as a loving and caring teacher in the Garderie Levi Yitzchok preschool and at the Montreal Torah Center (MTC).
She is survived by her husband, R’ Yossi Kurkus and their children Yermi, Sivan, Adassa, Menachem, Shmuel, Tzemach and Chaim. She is also survived by her grandchildren Menachem, Shneur and Chana Kurkus, and her parents Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Chana Zbily.
Members of the Lubavitch community said Tehillim as the aron was taken to New York on its way to Israel, where a funeral will be held Sunday afternoon.

The reason why some didn’t know about Matti’s Situation was BECAUSE whenever you saw her or talked to her she ALWAYS had a smile, a joke to say, or just LISTEN to you!
I knew knew her personally & she will definitely be missed! She was a special & beautiful wife, daughter, mother & grandmother inside & out!
May SHE beg Hashem to bring MOSHIACH NOW so we can be reunited with her & e/o else….

Moshiach Now!
