Mitzvah Tank Parades to Celebrate Rebbe’s Birthday

A number of Mitzvah Tank parades will be taking place in locations around the world to mark Yud Alef Nissan – the Rebbe’s 120th birthday, this year.

In addition to the flagship parade, which takes place each year in New York City, additional parades are being planned in 6 other locations thus far.

Yeshiva students in the following cities are planning Mitzvah Tank parades in their locations: Morristown, NJ, Detroit, MI, Los Angeles, CA, Toronto, ON, London, England, and Melbourne, Australia.

Plans are also in the works for Montreal, Canada, and other locations as well.

The bochurim have been working with the local Shluchim and communities to plan parades that will bring the Rebbe’s message to the public, organizers said.

As Chassidim we present our Rebbe with many gifts, one which stands out, is the Mitzva Tank Parade which conquers NYC, spreading the Mitzvos of Pesach to all, on the Rebbe’s birthday each year.

The largest – and original – Mitzvah Tank Parade in New York City will this year include 120 tanks – the largest amount to date. The entire parade is being completely revamped this year as well, with a brand new design, screen trucks and a major focus on social media and news outlets as well as many more grand ideas.

Aside from putting on Tefillin with thousands of people, and distributing hundreds of pounds of Matzah, the Mitzvah Tank Parade will bring the Rebbe’s message to an unprecedented amount of New Yorkers.
