In the light of the winds of war blowing in Ukraine and in honor of Purim koton, Russian-speaking yungeleit from Crown Heights gathered on Tuesday evening for an inspiring farbrengen and to strengthen each other.
Among the participants were children of Shluchim in Ukraine and Russia, and Baalei Teshuvas from those countries who currently live in Crown Heights.
During the farbrengen, hachlatos were made to increase in activities among Russian speakers in Crown Heights, which without a doubt will open a new stage in the activities of the Russian speaking community in the neighborhood, whose number is increasing from year to year.
During the farbrengen, participants made lchaims and wished R’ Mendel Deutsch, that the upcoming wedding of his family member in Russia take place in its appointed time and location, and should not be affected by the political situation.
The Farbrengen took place due to an initiative that was started several months ago, as many children of Shluchim and baalei Teshuvas from the former Soviet Union and Ukraine, many of them newlyweds and young couples, are currently living in Crown Heights.
“The goal of these gatherings is to unite, and offer chizuk, inspiration and support for those settling down in a new place,” one of the organizers said.
