Yeshivas Nishmat Shlomo (YNS), a boys high school in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, invited members of the Jewish community in celebration of Yud Shevat, the day the Rebbe assumed leadership of Chabad-Lubavitch.
Over 60 people participated in a Melave Malka meal at the school. A Chinese meal was enjoyed by all and everyone left with great excitement and inspiration to strengthen their commitment to Torah and mitzvos.
One of the highlights of the event was a video interview shown on a large screen with Rabbi Gimpel Orimland OBM sharing a miraculous story about his son, the Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Yaacov Orimland.

The event followed a farbrengen that was held on Friday night and lasted until the wee hours of the morning with Rabbi ‘O’ speaking about the example set forth by the Rebbe and the Frierdiker Rebbe.
“One needs to puts his mind to it by being himself, not trying to impress others,” he stated. “At times that takes will power to go against the tides of society and not bending to peer pressure.”
In the run-up to Yud Shevat, students intensified their learning and visited the Ohel of the Rebbes in Queens. Participants were entered in a raffle for an iPad Mini (won by Gershon Goldstein) and $100 cash (won by Yitzy Wall).
