Miami Students Recall Nosson

In light of the recent tragedy, in which Nosson Deitsch OBM, a student of Miami Yeshiva Gedolah, was killed in an accident on Lag B’Omer, Head Shliach of Florida Rabbi Avrohom Korf invited Shluchim and students to participate in a Kinnus Achdus at the Yeshiva Gedolah.

Speakers included Head Shliach Rabbi Avrohom Korf, Rabbi Leib Shapiro – Rosh Yeshiva to Miami Yeshiva – Zal, Rabbi Yisroel Edelman -Shliach of Chabad of Deerfield Beach Fl and Nosson’s uncle, Rabbi Velvel Lipskier – Mashpia in Miami Yeshiva Gedola, Rabbi Benche Korf – Menahel in Miami Yeshiva, Hatomim Shmuli Wolf, a roommate of Nosson, and Hatomim Nissy Deitsch, a cousin of Nosson.

The speeches included words of hisorerus, urging the people present to accept hachlotos in Nosson’s memory, in a manner of “Vi’hachay Yitein el Liboy,” and to increase in Achdus and Ahavas Yisroel.

Rabbi Edelman related a story how Nosson’s father Reb Zalman Deitsch OBM, used to choose one mamer a week to be chazerd by the shabbos table. Ka”h Zalman has many sons, so each son would chazer one ois of the mamer baal peh. Rabbi Edelman related how, at the young age of 10 years old, Nosson (the youngest son) was already chazzering the Dibur Hamaschil and first few lines baal peh (although maybe not understanding all of it, at that young age).

The kinnus was followed by a farbreingen, where many shluchim shared their experiences with Nosson, as Nosson visited many of the Florida shluchim throughout Shabbosim this year.
