A new Chavrusa learning program launched in Crown Heights Sunday to great success.
Dozens of men and bochurim gathered at Beis Eliezer Yitzchok Shul in Crown Heights for the inaugural evening of “Match Me a Chavrusa” learning, l’iluy Nishmas Rabbi Don Yoel Levy OBM.
Despite many being upstate in the country on Sunday, there was still a considerable crowd who joined for the learning, organizers said.
They expect an even larger crowd during the week, they said, promising that all who attends will receive a Chavrusa study match.
Due to the situation in the world, many residents of Crown Heights are finding themselves with free time and say to themselves, “I wish I had a Chavrusa – learning partner during this time so I could finish a complete ‘Masechta,’ a “Hemshech” in Chasidus, some “Sugyos” in Halacha, and more.”
To fulfill this need, the Beis Eliezer Yitzchak Shul, located at 394 Kingston Ave. (above Mikvah Meir), has opened its doors for the residents of Crown Heights.
The learning will continue every evening at 8:30 pm, followed by Maariv at 9:15 pm. Sushi and refreshments served.
After Maariv, a 10-minute shiur in Hilchos Beis Habechira will be held as per the instruction of the Rebbe.
Those interested in learning with a chavrusa during the evenings can contact Rabbi Kalman Weinfeld via WhatsApp at 347-515-3232 and he will do his utmost to match you with a chavrusa.
