Lubavitchers in Manchester, England turned out in droves on Yud Shevat to join a farbrengen at the Bais Menachem Center.
The guest speaker was Rabbi Yitzchok Schochet, Rabbi of the Mill Hill Synagogue in London and one of Anglo-Jewry’s most dynamic orthodox rabbis according to The Jewish Chronicle.
Rabbi Schochet spoke for nearly three hours, regaling the audience with Chassidic insights and personal anecdotes. There was also music and niggunim.
Shliach and director of Beis Menachem, Rabbi Akiva Cohen, commented: “Everyone was riveted, staying put until the end.”
An informal farbrengen with Rabbi Schochet carried on afterward till well past midnight.
