I remember as a child going in every week to buy by them. Both owners were the nicest people. Always a good word to every customer who walked into the store.
We all have a lot to learn from Rabbi Goldshmid…

It was always a pleasure to shop there , so kind, warm and friendly as well as helpful. Plus a vortalach or two. Hard to believe now their is no butcher store on Kingston.

Of Brod & Goldshmid on Empire Blvd. Always a kind greeting & a good vort. It seemed like a butcher shop but was SO much more !!

In Chevron, every year with Camp YTT, we tell the story of Reb Sholom Ber hiding under the bed during the Massacre of 1929.
And his good heart and humility passed on to his son who runs the Beis Rivka kitchen.

I have read many jem stories. Buy this one brought tears to my eyes. I would often go there as a child. Rumors were that more then half the bussiness was on credit that never was paid.
