At the Kotel on the first Tisha B”Av after the Six Day War there was a tremendous sense of gratitude for being able to be there. Some people said “I don’t know why I came, but I feel I need to be here” Some asked “do we cry, or do we celebrate?” Fifty years later, we still know that Tisha B’Av is a day of mourning.
