With summer underway, preparations for the coming school year are taking place at Chabad Girls Academy in Crown Heights.
Construction for another classroom is set to begin this week, thanks to the generosity of local businessman and philanthropist Mr. Yosef Yitzchok Popack.
Enrollment has increased as was the need to make space for another classroom, said the school’s founder and director, Mrs. Devorah Leah Angyalfi.
Currently, there are two classrooms and an office in addition to a beautifully renovated basement space that serves as a yoga and art room as well as a lunchroom. This space was remodeled last summer by Mr. Popack.
During a recent visit to the school, Mr. Popack was delighted to see the work that was done and met the students who use it. He took great interest in the future of the school and its students thereby agreeing to help it grow with another classroom renovation on the main floor.
Chabad Girls Academy has limited class size. There are a few remaining spots available in grades 5 and 8.

The role of helping our children reach and bring out the best from within themselves and bringing them up to a life of Torah, Chupa and good deeds, true examples of the Rebbe’s daughters. Doing their part in making Hashem’s world a better, kinder and g-dlier world and bring true Nachas to their parents and our Rebbe.
We learn that one who has saved a life has saved a world. Mrs Angyalfi has saved so many worlds and continues to do so. We cannot thank her enough for her selfless dedication and hard work on countless levels to realise a dream of so many in the Rebbe’s shechuna. May CGA go from strength to strength and thank you Mr and Mrs Popack for sharing the dream.
