Colel Chabad’s Pantry Packers in Jerusalem will be hosting a live Cheesecake Creation event on Tuesday in honor of the upcoming holiday of Shavuos.
Leading it will be Jamie Geller who is known as the only best-selling cookbook author who wants to get you out of the kitchen – not because she doesn’t love food – but because she has tons to do.
As “The Bride Who Knew Nothing,” Geller found her niche specializing in fast, fresh, family recipes. Now the “Queen of Kosher” (CBS) and the “Jewish Rachael Ray” (New York Times), she lived with her husband and 6 children in Israel and runs JamieGeller.com.
During the virtual event which will be aired on Zoom, YouTube and COLlive.com, Geller and the staff of Pantry Packers will be creating “the ultimate Shavuot cheesecakes” to be delivered to thousands of Israeli seniors stuck at home.
Geller will be making a no-bake, mix and match mini cheesecakes. She says the recipe has lots of room for variation and personalization with your favorite mix-ins and toppings. Experiment with as many combinations as you like, and enjoy the variety and individual taste experiences you create.
The event will be accompanied by master comedian Elon Gold in support of the outstanding humanitarian work of Colel Chabad during the Covid-19 pandemic to feed Israelis of all ages and backgrounds.
Participating will also be David Friedman, US Ambassador to Israel who has visited Pantry Packers in the past and witnessed its vital work for Israel’s needy.
