New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has stepped up its patrols at the Kingston Avenue subway station in Crown Heights, COLlive was told.
It follows a hate crime reported at the station on Sunday, September 30.
“The world would be much better off if all the Jews were lampshades” read the graffiti written in a red marker on both north and south platforms, often frequented by local Chassidic Jews.
Hate crimes was notified and is investigating, an officer at the NYPD 71 Precinct said.
As with past years, the Precinct has been given extra resources during Tishrei, the Jewish month of holidays when thousands come from around the world to pray and celebrate.
does it matter who wrote it?the point is that were still in golus and things like this are happening daily all around the world.

last week there was a documentary on the History Chanel about this crazy lady that was obsessed with skin and made lamp shades out of the Holocaust prisoners. I assume that is the origin of the comment.
