If only Crown Heights offered programs to encourage our girls to be into the right things. To love learning. To spend time with their mother, sister, aunt, neighbor, in a warm, friendly, chassidishe environment. If only they offered incentives to encourage the girls to want to attend. Maybe some pretty food packages, a raffle….
Good news; All that and more is what girls find every month at Imos U’banos! Join women and girls Monday night, January 29, from 7:30 to 8:30 PM at the newly renovated Kahal Chassidim Shul, 1612 Carroll St., corner Schenectady Ave and experience it for yourself.
To dedicate a session of Imos Ubanos please contact the Women’s Circle at [email protected].
Is very very important comment#6! If you learn the sichos about women’s learning you’ll realize they are crucial. That learning also connects a girl to Hashem. boys learn all day and that’s the best way for developing connections. Girls don’t need to copy boys. women can connect in any activity. we men need all these routines in order to connect with H. A women can light a match and connect without routine, and attain greater level then men.
For years wev’e emphasized the boys; so glad to see this especially in the times we are in.
If only people were sensitive enough to the feelings of all those girls and boys who LOST A PARENT. Yes, one is invited to join with any older relative/friend and thankfully this article stresses that, but with all the tragedies our community has had, it’s time to rename these programs. דור לדור or anything inclusive and non specific will make a little girl (or boy) much happier. Great program otherwise.
Sensitivity, Please!
Wow, this is amazing, after having their brothers come home week after week from Avos Ubanim, last night in Coral Springs, FL, we had our first Imos Ubanos. Beautiful and will only help our girls develop into true bas Chabad’s!
This sounds like a great idea. Hatzlocha rabbah.
I spy with my little eye.. visitors from Toronto…Go, Kogan’s! (from a proud Bubby.) Are you learning Torah Or/Lekutei Torah yet??
