A large crowd attended the Levaya on Sunday of Rabbi Shmuel Moshe Hakohen Benjamin obm, a devoted and beloved educator to hundreds of students for the past 25 years.
The Levaya passed by Oholei Torah Yeshiva, where Rabbi Benjamin taught for many years, and then passed by 770 Eastern Parkway.
With a constant smile on his face, Rabbi Benjamin was a most devoted Mechanech of Oholei Torah Pre1A for twenty-five years, educating hundreds of Talmidim, imbuing a love of Yiddishkeit and laying strong foundations for them during those formative years. With unparalleled dedication, Rabbi Benjamin taught his many Talmidim the Aleph Beis with total kedusha and purity, permeating the lessons with Yiras Shomayim and Chassidishkeit, and ensuring each student had the tools they needed to succeed in their subsequent years of Chinuch.
He is survived by his wife Devorah and children, Chaya and Yosef.
He is also survived by his parents, Avigdor Chaim and Freida Rachel, and his two brothers, Jonathan and Adam, as well as his in-laws, Pinchas and Mina Gold.

As a Rebbi and as Devorah’s partner in KSCVK, Shmuel was a tower of strength. We are deeply saddened by his untimely passing, he was one in a million. The huge crowd bears witness to his incredible devotion to the klal. I watched the levaya live from my home in Israel, today was a terrible day but I am sure Shmuel will be watching over all his talmidim and the chayalim here with the same care and pure heart he showed when he was with us b’guf. There’s nothing more to say, we are crying for his entire family.
