A group of Yungeleit from Kolel L’horaah Ma’asis of Crown Heights joined Rosh Kolel Rabbi Sholom Shuchat to supervise the pouring of a new Mikvah in Westchester County.
The new Mikvah, being built by Chabad of Briarcliff-Ossining, run by the Shliach Rabbi Dovid Labkowsky took place last week, supervised by Rabbi Shuchat, along with Rabbi Yitzchok Trieger, Rabbi Nachman Horowitz and R’ Moshe Breuer of Mikvah USA.
Also present were the Rabonim Rabbi Weissmandl and Rabbi Meisels from nearby Mount Kisco, NY, and a group of Yungeleit from Kolel in Monroe, NY.
Rabbi Shuchat gave a short explanation of the various practical and Halachic elements that have to be inspected prior and during the pour of the Mikvah, and what issues may come up when inspecting the roof.
The remainder of Kolel, most of whom have already participated in previous Mikvah pours, remained in Kolel with Rabbi Shraga Homnick, Sgan Rosh Kolel.
The Kolel, directed by the Menahel Rabbi Yosef Greenwald, thanks Rabbi Labkowsky and the team at Mikvah USA for allowing the Kolel Yungeleit to experience practical Halacha.
