I think it says somewhere in tanya that a man should love his children because they are yidden and not bc they are his children, when I first heard this I didnt understand. It seemed so detached and unloving. but hearing this speech, and from life experience, it is SO TRUE> when you love your relatives like other yidden, not bc they are your kids, family members. it totally takes away the ego aspect of the relationship whichs is often very unhelpful to put it nicely. loving ones child because he is a Yid is the kindest thing you can… Read more »
