Chavi Rokeach is a kallah teacher and a certified health coach who believes that the best marriages take place when a woman is truly nourished – emotionally, physically, and spiritually. She set out to create a space where frum women could feel supported through her platform, Inner Circle Marriage—a membership that provides support to women throughout every stage of marriage.
The journey to launch the platform, which has been going strong for six months now, began years ago when Chavi began teaching kallahs. She loved teaching the kallahs, but was also passionate about health and nutrition.
After a few years, she embarked on the next part of her journey; she became a certified health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Next, she expanded her coaching which now features a strong emphasis on health. She kept in touch with many of her past kallahs, realizing that so many needed ongoing support in multiple areas.
“Wives would reach out to me with struggles,” she says, “I saw that there were gaps.” As a health coach, Chavi was able to weave her emotional, physical, and practical expertise into a full package for her clients.
Wearing the hats as both a kallah teacher and health coach, Chavi suddenly had less time to spend personally with each of her clients. After spending hours on the phone supporting women, there were no more hours left in the day to schedule additional calls. That’s when the vision of an online platform began to form in her mind. Her goal was to enrich each woman through her years of expertise as a kallah teacher and through her knowledge about health and nutrition.
Very often, women shared that they felt alone, and that they didn’t know who to go to for advice. Many had trauma and blockages that held them back. “I wanted to create a space where women can feel like someone is holding them,” says Chavi. “As women, we hold everyone. We hold our families and jobs. Women are the nurturers, the multitaskers.” The sheer number of women who felt burned out was staggering, and it tugged at Chavi’s heartstrings.
As the idea of an online platform percolated in her mind, one of her former students called her, “If I get a group of eight to ten women,” the student asked, “Would you start a group for us?” Chavi could not say no, and thus began her new venture to reach out and support groups of married women.
The kallah teacher describes Inner Circle Marriage as a “home away from home.” She focuses on four pillars which are essential to a strong marriage: Taharas Hamishpacha, emotional wellness, replenishing the woman, and physical and emotional intimacy. The program includes live Zoom calls and recordings, a WhatsApp support group, daily and monthly encouragement messages, journaling prompts, and meditations. All of her classes are available in an easy-to-navigate online library that’s constantly growing. “Women can choose what fits them,” says the coach. “There’s no pressure.”
“The beauty of Inner Circle Marriage,” says one attendee, “is that it’s not just about marriage or health or fitness. It’s an all-encompassing program that encompasses all aspects of life. It’s given me so much knowledge and there’s so much hands-on support for each topic.”
Members of the group have noticed positive shifts in their lives. Many begin to develop an awareness of their needs, which helps them better communicate with their husbands.
“What I am learning with Mrs. Rokeach is truly priceless,” says another member. “In the past, I would push through challenges that left me resentful. Mrs. Rokeach is my Kallah teacher. I say that in the present because she has continued to be there for me far beyond my wedding. Not just for halacha, but for support, general questions, and wise statements that pop into my mind at useful moments.”
Inner Circle provides with support, well-balanced advice, perspectives on life, marriage, and motherhood making it invaluable. Many women express the focus and balance that they are able to achieve thanks to the membership. Whether the topic is nutrition, exercise, or communication skills, there is something for every issue that may arise within marriage and motherhood.
Aside from the information-rich library, Zooms, and chatrooms, Chavi is active in supporting women through chats and private messages. “We juggle so much and also need nourishment ourselves,” she says. “If a woman is happy, she’s going to bring that into her marriage.” The kallah teacher has seen time and time again that a truly nourished woman is able to thrive, causing positive ripple effects on her marriage, her children, and the rest of her life.
